This is my first blog so I am very proud of myself for actually getting into the groove and starting to communicate like this! And hopefully I am now converted and so you’ll be hearing lots more from me …
But wanted to write today cause I had an amazing day on Friday – it was Mandela’s 90th Birthday and I went to Parliament Square to honor the moment and take part in ACTSA’s, initiative. The idea was to gather a whole crowd of people to stand in formation of the South African flag and hold up cards with Birthday wishes and pledges of action towards a better South Africa. I've added some pics in the picture section, which better describes what I’m talking about!
It was important to me to be there – Holly and I were meant to have been in South Africa for that special day – we had decided we wanted to include it in the film but sadly, because of a lack of funds, it just wasn’t possible. Instead we are now going to go back Nov/ Dec, which we now feel is better timing anyway because it’ll allow us to have a better follow up with the kids further down the line and get a better feel of how they are doing … but that’s another story.
Anyway, just wanted to share that with you – there was lots of press there so hopefully there was something on the news – not sure if anyone saw anything? Please let me know if you did …
